. Individual quick freezing (เรียกย่อว่า ไอคิวเอฟ, IQF) หมายถึง อาหารแช่เยือกแข็ง (frozen food) ซึ่งผ่านกระบวนการแช่เยือกแข็ง (freezing) อย่างรวดเร็ว

อาหารแต่ละชิ้นสัมผัสกับตัวกลางที่ให้ความเย็นโดยตรง การเกิดผลึกน้ำแข็ง (ice crystal formation) ได้ผลึกขนาดเล็กทั่วไปในชิ้นของอาหาร ทำให้อาหารมีคุณภาพดี อาหารแช่เยือกแข็ง มีลักษณะแยกจากกันเป็นชิ้นๆ ไม่เกาะกันเป็นก้อน อาหารที่นิยมแช่เยือกแข็งแบบไอคิวเอฟ ได้แก่ กุ้ง หอยเนื้อสัตว์ ผัก ผลไม้ ที่หั่นเป็นชิ้น หรือ ที่มีขนาดเล็ก

This is our most premium grade, frozen using the IQF method (sashimi grade, suitable for raw consumption). These large, sweet scallops are perfect for sashimi. They are fresh, sweet, tender, and smooth, with no fishy smell, toughness, or shrinkage.

Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) refers to a process where food items are quickly frozen, each piece individually exposed to a cooling medium. This rapid freezing results in small ice crystals forming within the food, maintaining its high quality. IQF-frozen foods do not clump together and remain separate. Commonly IQF-frozen foods include shrimp, shellfish, meat, vegetables, and small or cut fruits.
